Before you start, you will need - 1. Make cookies and let cool.

2. Make Susi's Famous Edible Paint (click link for recipes)

3. Before thinning down icing/paint mix in colors in separate bowls:
  • green with a small amount of yellow to get a spring green
  • yellow for pure yellow
  • blue with some red to make deep purple for centers.

  • 4. Thin down paint to the consistency of honey.

    5. With artist brush paint on yellow for the petals and wait to dry, next do the green leaves and finally the deep purple center. If you do not let the paint dry the colors will bleed. This is a nice effect when decorating other flowers.
